Biodiversity conservation and management in protected and sensitive areas (Population/habitat diversity, and adaptive mechanisms of species as tool to conservation management, and understand climate change and policy). BIORESOURCES: Rare and threatened species, including Endangered MPs- Populations, Use pattern, strengthening in-situ/ex-situ Conservation, Ethnobiology, Trade. Gene Bank, Tree biology/Phenology and other adaptive mechanism. Biodiversity Conservation Education. Geographical areas covered: Indian Himalayan Region (north-west to north-east); Nodal person-KBR (Sikkim); Organized international/national/regional events.
