World Environment Day - 5^th June 2010

“A DAY WITH STUDENTS”

(Time 10 AM to 2 PM)

Similar to last years the Institute is celebrating World Environment Day – 5^thJune 2010 as “A day with the students”. The main aim is to familiarize students to primary and secondary classes with Institute activities and to conduct them with various laboratories. About 20 students from nearby schools are invited to participate in the event along with their teachers. Entries are also invited from participating schools in the form of an essay, a poem and a poster on the following topic.

“Biodiversity and Climate Change in Himalaya”

Last year we received entries from various schools in the form of essays and poem and posters. The winners of these competitions (given below) will be awarded during this year’s World Environment Day.
