Farmers’ Educational Exposure Visit

An educational exposure visit was organized on 12 December by the Govind Ballabh Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment under a NABARD-funded project aimed at promoting medicinal plant cultivation for rural livelihood enhancement. Farmers from Khunt and Balsa villages of Hawalbagh Block visited Paner village in Takula Block, where a progressive farmer, Mr. Lalit Mohan Lohni, shared practical knowledge on the scientific cultivation of medicinal and aromatic plants, particularly rosemary, highlighting its economic benefits and market potential. The visit inspired the participating farmers to adopt medicinal plant farming as a means of sustainable income generation and self-reliance.
