CGWB-NER and GBPNIHE-NERC Sign LoA for Scientific Study on Vulnerable Springs in Arunachal Pradesh

The Central Ground Water Board, North Eastern Region (CGWB-NER) and Govind Ballabh Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment, North-East Regional Centre (GBPNIHE-NERC) signed a Letter of Agreement (LoA) on 26 May 2026 to undertake a collaborative scientific study titled ‘Mapping, Assessment, and Rejuvenation of Vulnerable Springs in Arunachal Pradesh’. The initiative aims to strengthen spring conservation, water security, and climate resilience through scientific assessment, mapping, and sustainable rejuvenation strategies in the Himalayan region.
