A group of 204 students and teachers from Army Public School, Almora, visited the Institute on 1 and 3 June 2026 as part of an educational exposure programme designed to foster scientific awareness and environmental stewardship. During the visit, participants gained valuable insights into the ecological significance of the Himalayan region and the Institute’s ongoing efforts toward its conservation and sustainable development. They were introduced to key themes such as water resource management, biodiversity conservation, sustainable natural resource use, and climate resilience. The students also toured the Institute’s state-of-the-art facilities, including research laboratories, the Automatic Weather Station, and Suryakunj, an ex-situ conservation site. An interactive session on Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment) further encouraged students to adopt sustainable lifestyles and environmentally responsible practices. The programme enriched their scientific understanding and inspired them to become environmentally conscious citizens committed to the vision of Mission LiFE.
